First Town Hall Meeting

Tonight the first Town Hall Meeting was held to discuss the development of plans to bring industry to Raymondville. CoServe was contracted to develop a strategic plan to bring industries to the industrial park located in Raymondville. This first meeting was very informative and very professional. The expertise of this organization was very refreshing.

In this first meeting the city's weaknesses and strengths were discussed. Plans to setup commitees to help address some of the weaknesses were discussed. If anyone would like to be on one of these committees you could contact Yogi Garcia at City Hall in Raymondville and express your interest.

Although the turnout at tonight's meeting was low considering the importance of bringing new jobs into Raymondville and Willacy County, I believe we have a good start with CoServe. Hopefully interest will grow as the process proceeds and more people will get involved.
