Choose Your Candidates Wisely

   Politics is a pain in the butt. That's why most people don't like politics. They'd rather be playing baseball or watching TV or gardening. Raymondville has seen a lot of this attitude over the years. Over the past 30 years Raymondville has seen the rest of the Valley grow and prosper while it has struggled to maintain it's existence. The people that have been chosen to lead our Community have let this town down!!! Our children have no future here in Raymondville, there are no jobs for most and the ones that are available do not pay very well. Because of this, the cream of what Raymondville produces leaves every year to pursue careers elsewhere.

    It is time for change. Choose your Candidates wisely!!! Choose someone who you know will help to make the changes that are needed in this community. Changes that will allow it to grow and provide a future for our children. I heard recently one candidate state that they would work to support the agricultural needs of the area. That's great for the few farmers that already have good jobs. Will they also support trying to bring in new industries and new jobs? I hear a lot of talk but see very little effort or resources given to expand the market base of Willacy county.
