Happy Birthday, son
As we begin our new week I have several thoughts I feel are
worth of contemplation. But first a personal note, a Happy Birthday to a son who has
brought me nothing but happiness and joy for fourteen years. May your years be many, and
happy and may you be blessed and continue to be a blessing to others.
Sometime this week may we be able to:
- Take time to work; it is the price of success.
- Take time to play; it is the secret of youth.
- Take time to think; it is the source of power.
- Take time to read; it is the foundation of youth.
- Take time to laugh; it is the music of the Soul.
- Take time to be friendly; it is the road to happiness.
- Take time to dream; it is the highway to the stars.
- Take lime to look around; it is the shortcut to unselfishness.
- Take time to pray; it is the way to heaven.
- Lord during this week please give me....
- A few friends who understand me, yet remain my friends.
- A work to do which has real value, without which the world would
be the poorer
- A mind unafraid to travel, even though the trail be blazed.
- An understanding heart.
- A sense of humor.
- Time for quiet meditation.
- A feeling of the presence of God.
- And the patience to wait for the coming of these things, with the
wisdom to know when they come.
